The Second Chapter

All of the photos I took as a child are lost. The best advice that I feel I can give to photographers, especially those feeling insecure about how they measure up, is to go take bad photos – lots of them. Many of those early images fall into just that category. When I turned 19, I acquired a Sony A200, a very basic digital camera, and after a few years hiatus, got back into taking images. This was before I ever thought about doing the work I do now. I set about capturing any scene that made me feel something. Looking back, I see more clearly than ever that my editing skills were in the beginning phases, and my ability to bring vision to an image was thus passing at best.

Below you will find some of the highlights of what I produced during these years. I don’t share these to say that I was great; rather, I share them to offer the second chapter of my photography.
